On this (now turned ‘drippy’) Thursday, there is a sweet little quilt ready to be boxed and mailed to Indiana. (more on its previous steps here) The border stitching combined gentle loops with flowers that took their cue from the center area. It’s a “cuddle quilt” for this newborn young’n and will be washed much. I always do a quick run through the wash/dryer so it will be fresh for the recipient. Some close-ups………
And, of course, a backward glance…………..
I found a cute border for the label, so a simple printing and we have this…
Thread: (top) Isacord, 40 wt & Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly, 70 wt; (bobbin) Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly, 70 wt. Batting: Hobbs Heirloom, cotton/poly. Stitched (hand-guided/FMQ) on my Juki 2010Q (LUV this machine!!!)
Love the quilting on this, your free hand work looks like a pantograph!
(blush) Thank you for that sweet comment!!! It is a very relaxing motif and one that is excellent for achieving an ‘even’ fill (especially on borders where density will affect the final shaping of the quilt sandwich). The piece was beautifully flat/even when I finished stitching and, especially, after a quick trip through the wash/dryer!!!
