No more “starts”…..for now……..

but I must continue stitching something! This Christmas panel seems to be the answer.IMG_1343 Begun a while back (see here), I’ve managed to get a bit more of the background fill done. Nothing really planned, just random stitching……….IMG_1347.                    A peek at the back………………….. IMG_1345 Ms Juki is loving the Superior Variegated Gold metallic (#025) as always! I used a single layer of Hobbs cotton/poly (80/20) batting and Connecting Threads Essential Pro poly on the bobbin. Total fun!!!!!IMG_1348

Your quilting is gorgeous!! I have a question…… I have the same Juki machine and am having lots of tension issues with my FMQ, especially while using a ruler. Can I ask what settings you are using for FMQ?

Thank you for your sweet words. The main tension setting (with the foot down) is between 1 and 2. I’m working with metallic thread and, sometimes, I loosen to the 1. Generally, I don’t change the setting much, even when going with a 70 weight thread. I always use 70 wt. in all my bobbins (Connecting Threads Essential Pro polyester). My machine was purchased almost 5 years ago and I’ve not had any tension issues with it (nor with it’s 10 year “sister” I use at home). I don’t change the setting when I’m doing straight stitching, either. Let me know if you have more questions. Hugs………………..

Thanks so much for your response. I have always had a bit of tension issues and am determined to figure it out!! Thankfully I have a good amount of time to sew in the next few months so will keep at it!!!

That thread is perfect to show off your textures, just beautiful! Stay south, I hear the next storm could dump 15 inches of snow somewhere….😳. East of us really got hammered this week.
