Fusible Friday……………..

How’s that for a title? Getting back in the “home groove” has taken me a bit of time! First off, leaving the 90F Texas warmth and dealing with, um, somewhat less than “average” Minnesota temps has been more of a challenge than I remembered…sigh. Anyhow, getting back in my sewing “nest” is always a joy. I have continued on with this top, started some weeks back (found in this post). IMG_1321 Having the star blocks completed and the flower pieces ready to fuse to the background made this continuation a quick one………………..IMG_1355 The setting triangles are next, but this is the progress thus far……. Stay tuned for updates!!!! I know I have been absent for quite a while and hope to remedy my ‘neglect’ in the future. Happy Springtime to those about to enjoy that season. Hugs always……………..

The quilt is coming along beautifully, and I’m glad you are home and adjusting. This weather…we were so thrilled to only get a couple of hours of sleet/snow this week. I think that spring is FINALLY here for real. Just hoping it doesn’t immediately turn to summer!

We’ve had none of the nicer swing of weather since returning and I have a bunch of dry-root geraniums in the basement so needing a replanting in warm soil! Won’t happen in the foreseeable future (for us)….sigh………….

  2. Yes DH has been very unhappy with the crappy MN weather. Me I just bury myself in the sewing room! Love your project, such sweet little pinwheels in the star center.

  3. Welcome back! Sure wish you had brought some of the warm weather with you. 😊

I wish I had, too!!😎 Hope ur winter was good. Lots of stitching??? I do feel like I’m in catch-up mode for some reason……starting but not finishing tasks. LOL!

  4. Add a layer, remove a layer, add a layer . . . that’s life during spring in Minnesota, right?!? Better yet, just hunker down in the sewing room and wait for the sun! Welcome back to MN!
