Securing the fusible. This post and this photo gave you an idea of the proposed final setting but the next step is securing all those flower edges with a small (machine) blanket stitch and is the reason that this project was not completed while in our winter Texas home. Enter my trusty Bernina 440QE and her lovely stitch #45/blanket stitch. Width set at 2.2 and stitch length, also, at 2.2. “Needle down” position with open toe foot #20 and, periodically, using the “Mirror image” setting, this securing has begun…………
These blocks will be cut on the diagonal to provide 2 setting triangles.
Thus far, these have been completed and are awaiting that diagonal cutting. On to the 4 central squares……..
Stay tuned………..
I’m using my 70wt Connecting Threads Essential Pro Poly for this top stitching, as I don’t want a super heavy/more prominent thread edging.
Thanks so much for popping by! And Happy Mother’s Day to all!!!!
Looking good, Doreen. I trust you had a Happy Mother’s Day.
It was a quiet day which was quite nice, considering I’m not adjusted to my “Northern schedule” and temps!!!!!!!
