Martha Washington Star……………..

Ready to “sandwich” and (the sometimes dreaded) quilt-as-desired! IMG_1372     I am really liking this one! The original pattern did not have the narrow red inner borderIMG_1321……but that was a necessary “add”, don’tcha think? The binding will be the same as that outer/brown border and will use every scrap of that fabric (cutting the strips ridiculously narrow to achieve the finish!).

Tomorrow is sandwich-two-quilts day..yay! See ya later…………

What is ridiculously narrow binding? I would love to know how narrow you can go. Would a single folded binding require less? I have always used double binding.

Ummmm……..well, yes, they will be single fold for this one. Not my recommended choice but there was no other fabric that worked and it worked cutting the strips 1.25″. Ugh! Sigh……That’s what happens when these projects lurk in the shadowed recesses………LOL!!!!

  3. Love this one and yes the red inner border made a difference – a good one!
