Came a wee bit early as we are exiting the white, chilly Northern climes for the warmer temps in Texas before Christmas this year. As we gathered with part of the family on Thanksgiving, the great-grands opened this year’s surprise. Growing up, I loved to read and had a large soft floor pillow that was thrown down wherever I needed to be comfy for reading (or watching TV) and, I thought, the gr.grands needed something similar. 
A little fussy cutting.. 
and some quick machine blanket-stitching and wha-la……….

I think they were a bit taken aback, not knowing what use they had. I grew up with one and read constantly so it was a no-brainer. Payten has become a voracious reader of late.
