Presenting to you………….

“Seussical Trees” (for me, it has a wee bit better ‘ring’ to it than “Wonky Trees!)……………. I did a very simple loopy star stitching using my fave Superior Variegated Metallic Gold thread, #025, to add the glisten that those trees needed. It’s a subtle addition but one that adds so much “life”! The back is pieced with the triangles left from the first cutting…………….. The binding was a 2” strip, folded in half and first applied to the back and flipped forward to the front and topstitched (my new favorite finish for quilted finishes that will see some laundering)…… I stitched stars at the top of the trees but that wasn’t standing out enough so I dug into the button box that my mom left to me and retrieved these button covers (who else remembers that trend????) and…..perfect………………………..
