When I left off with this piece, here, I was in the process of taking care of all that negative space surrounding the center star………………………The “fill” is multidirectional wavy echoes
that really do well to contrast with the feather ‘fans’.
. Inner background complete, now on to the outer/final border and something simple. (The pieced inner border will be left with only a defining SID/stitch in the ditch). “Piano keys” will be the little bit of ruler work done………
and a scrappy binding to finish…………………
A fun piece that could be a small wall quilt or table topper (36”x36”). See this post for supply details.
The task of packing up our little Texas place has begun. In another week, or so, the northern trek will begin. My stitching corner has been packed away (Ms Texas Juki has had a good ‘spa treatment’ and will await our return). Till next we meet….be safe and well….hugs…….
you haven’t blogged in a long time – I hope you are doing ok? made it back to Minnesota alright?
Thank you so much for your concern….you’re a dear! We made it back and had a great trip…..we weren’t sure how the “virus thing” would impact the trek but there was nothing in the way of issues at all! We got home to a cracked water pipe and took care of that during the first 1.5 weeks. Then lawn mowing and a quick fun trip (with lots of friend visiting) to the Black Hills/Spearfish, SD. A week of beautiful weather and eating at some of our fave haunts from our Sturgis Rally days. Been busy stitching but not blogging……..really must correct that!!!! Stay tuned…………..
Your pieces always turn out very nicely.
Thank you, Michele. I was very pleased with this one. Will be a future gift. Hugs………….
Such a cute quilt. Be safe with your travels back to Minnesota
Looking forward to being back on our “northern home turf”!!!!!! Hugs…….
Love your quilting!!! Have a safe trip and stay well.
Thank you, Jeanne. We look forward to a very UNeventful trek north (but, ya never know!). Hugs…….
