HEADS UP to all my friends ‘down there’!!!!! If you have opportunity to sigh up for one of Carla’s classes, that would be awesome!!!!!!
I discovered that a mini interview piece was in Quilter’s Companion, a magazine by Australian Patchwork & Quilting magazine:
It was a special feature for the AU Machine Quilting Festival in October, 2014.
As I have mentioned before, I will be teaching a number of classes, including my Quilt Whispering Design class, my Tablet Design for Quilters, Avoiding The Oops class on how to avoid and handle all the various things that can go wrong when you are quilting, and also my Fabric Crochet Purse, and a Freeform Quilting class. Here is a sneak peek at the top part that features me on page 73:

Wish I were able to sign up – she is an inspiration! 😉
I have to go back to look at the issue again! One of my Christmas Star quilt is featured in that very issue…
Exciting! I do remember you posting about your work in one of the issues a while back. The magazine is available at our Barnes & Noble Bookseller but the $$$ is a tad on the high side and I really hate to get “hooked” on another mag!!!!!!!
Hahaha – have you checked the price for the electronic version? I find that particular magazine really good for its content on techniques.
Nope. Will have to do so. Thnx. Hugs………………….
Being an ex-pat Australian living in the UK I am aware of Carla and the Aussie quilt fraternity, There was a wonderful material shop in Springwood in the Blue Mountains New South Wales near to where I lived, that I visited on a regular basis. As did many other folk. It was always very busy. I loved going in there and just looking at all the fabrics on display. They catered for those of us who sewed stretch fabric T-shirts and tops as well as quilters and dressmakers. I have some of their fabrics still in my stash. Much traveled material. LOL. I wish that shop was over here. I remember it was called Sew & Save. I wish Carla well in Adelaide.
Such a sweet comment!!! Thank you, Lin!!! Everyone who has ever visited Australia (or done a teaching stint there) has fallen in love with the country! If it only wasn’t on the other side of the globe!!! I can’t imagine being “cooped up” in a flying machine for all those hours!!!! LOL!
Doreen is the best cheerleader and encourager. I know first hand. She and DH drove some distance to hear me read a poem.
Of course!!!!! We just HAD to!!!!! LOL!!! And such a grand time we had, too!!!!
You’re so supportive Doreen. Blessings Always, Mtetar
Wouldn’t that be an absolutely dreamy event, and location(!), to attend???? Thanks so much for your very sweet words…….hugs…..
Yes and you’re always welcome. Blessings Always, Mtetar
