To a question about the dimensional pinwheels. They add so much to the textural interest of a design AND they’re so easy to do!!! Really!!!! So, rather than “reinvent the wheel” (so to speak), I will direct you to the tutorial found here, on “Patchwork Posse”s blog. It can be done small or large (if larger blocks are done, you may need to tack the pinwheel blades). Such was the case when I made this quilt for a great granddaughter back in 2014….
I hope you find this of some interest for those upcoming special needed gifts!!!!!!!
Thank you for posting the “how to”. I need to come up with a quilt to put those in!
They are really fun in a table topper/runner in various sizes (like my quilt in the tutorial post link…from 2014). The block can take on any size well….even down to using “mini”/”candy” squares of 2.5″!!!!
These are so cool.
Aren’t they so fun???? And the/my girls really love that they “stick out”!! LOL!!!!
Thank you for the site for the pattern. This looks like lots of fun.
I agree they are easy to do. After you showed your quilt with them I made a number of step by step samples for the ladies in my quilt class. I think some of them made quilts using the pinwheel design on the centre of small quilts.
