This past weekend was the Rio Grande Valley (Texas) major quilt event on South Padre Island. The many quilt groups of the valley come together, as members of the RGV Quilt Guild, to put on this yearly event. I was unable to attend this year but did enter my fave Aurora Dream Big panel. (see this post for details on its progression). I was very pleased to see that others seemed to like it as much as I!!! My fascination for these Dream Big panels continues but will have to be put on the “back burner” until I return home in early May, as I left all of them there and only brought smaller projects along. One more picture…………..
Have an awesome Wednesday! Tomorrow I’m off to a neighboring resort to teach a couple of fmq workshops but I shall return. The stitching busy-ness has been ongoing and the days have been flying by. The weather has presented challenges for many. I hope that you are having time for quality quilty moments! Til next time………be safe. Sending hugs…………

Congratulations, my friend. No wonder you won a blue ribbon. This is stunningly beautiful in craftsmanship and colors.
Thank you so much!! I’m so happy this appeals to you…….it was pure joy to stitch!!! More to embark upon when I return North…….early May. Hugs……………….
Awesome quilting!!!
Nancy…..thanks so much for stopping by. I am glad you enjoyed seeing this finish. These panels have been interesting, fun and challenging!
That’s great news–well-deserved for this beautiful quilting!
Thank you so much!!! These panels are pure fmq delight!!!!
Congratulations. You do such beutiful work.
🌺thanks so much!!!!!!
Woo hoo! Congratulations! I was thinking about you today, wondering what you’ve been up to, and here comes a post. 😄 Glad you are doing well!
Yes!!!!!….the landscape, though green, is lacking in real warmth lately but changes by Friday/Saturday will be happening. This project was a very enjoyable one💜💜💜
Wow, this is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
What surprised me was how many were not aware of these panels, even though some vendors at these types of events do carry them. I think it’s because most gals are “piecers” rather than “quilters”. Thank you for your sweet comment, Jackie…………
Beautiful! I am sure you are having a great time!
It definitely has been much better weather than north/MN and being with our TX friends is always a joy. #2 Son & DIL came for a very short visit the beginning of Feb….awesome.
