Star themed quilts…..what do you think? They can be done with a more traditional look but adapt so well to a more modern setting. “Martha Washington Star” (see here) seems to have the comfy cozy more traditional “feel”. 
The fun stitching has begun. The center pinwheels will be left unquilted so they “pop”. I’m thinking I may add a bit of interest to the star, yet. “Swirls” will define the pinwheels nicely. The rest of the background will be a “vine” pattern (inspiration taken from the fabric itself!). 
The pinwheels, stars and flower appliques have been outlined…..
